    Course Description
    Overview
    The Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work is aimed at learners already working or preparing to work in industry. The qualification is usually delivered as a three-day programme of training and assessment for learners to allow them to be first aiders in the workplace. The qualification has recommended course duration of three days. The course duration may be increased to meet additional learning needs if required but not reduced. The qualification develops learners knowledge, understanding and skills in the following areas: roles and responsibilities of the First Aider; assessing an incident, recognising signs and symptoms of injury and illness, assisting a casualty who is suffering from major injury and illness, chest injuries, spinal injuries and anaphylaxis. The objectives of the qualification include supporting a role in the workplace and giving learners personal growth and engagement in learning.
    Duration and Delivery
    This course is designed to be completed online at the pace that suits you the best. This course can take as little as 10-12 months.

    Assessment and Verification

    The course is assessed through a series of tutor marked assignments. The learner will be required to complete an assignment at the end of each module. Once all assignments have been passed the course will be passed over to moderation for completion.

    Online learning allows you to complete the course in your own time and at your own pace. Online learning gives you an opportunity to manage study/work balance. The cost of our online courses is much less as compared to the same courses studied on campus. The ultimate certification you get will still be exactly the same regardless of how the learning took place.

    Total Qualification Time (TQT) is a term used within qualifications regulated by Ofqual as part of the Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF). It aims to provide learners with an indication of the minimum length of time it would take the average learner to complete their qualification. Guided Learning Hours (GLHs) Guided Learning Hours is the time a learner is being taught, instructed or participating in education or training under guidance or supervision of a tutor, lecturer etc. (this can also include assessment time). Please note that the actual time taken by the learner will vary and will depend on the individual effort and hard-work of the learner.

    All students are provided with an induction to better understand the assessment process. You will also be given access to blogs written on how to do your best when preparing for your coursework.     It is a self-paced course. Learners progress at their own speed.

    Course material is provided through our VLE. It is up to the learners to decide whether they want to buy additional study material.

    Interview is mandatory for most students before getting enrolled on a course. The interview is usually very easy to pass and is conducted to make sure that the learner is eligible and capable of undertaking the desired course.
