I started my career in retail, and over a period of eight years, became a supermarket store manager, self-employed contracts manager and an area manager overseeing sixteen CTN stores. I have worked in education for 34 years, in various guises. I managed a busy nursery for 12 years before branching out into Assessment and Quality Assurance, more than 20 years ago. My practice has developed alongside the ever-evolving training and apprenticeship sector, and I have worked in many different settings, including colleges, private training agencies and a foster care agency.
