• Acknowledging the legal and ethical duty of care in supporting individuals, and implementing practices that ensure the protection and well-being of those in care

  Entry Requirements

  The following are the entry requirements to enrol in this qualification:

  • You must be 18 years old and above.
  • You must have satisfactory literacy and numeracy skills.

  The expected completion time for this course ranges from 12 weeks to 48 weeks, depending on the individual pace of the learner and level of commitment.

  This course is assessed through a combination of tutor-marked assignments and practical work, which is evaluated either in the workplace or in simulated settings. You will need to show your ability to work competently with vulnerable individuals and reflect on your practice.

  Assessment for the Level 3 Diploma in Care (RQF) is conducted through a combination of tutor-marked written assignments and practical workplace assessments. You will complete a structured portfolio of evidence aligned to each unit, demonstrating their knowledge and practical application of core topics such as communication, safeguarding, person-centred care, and health and safety. Certain units require additional evidence, including witness testimonies and workplace observations, to meet the full assessment criteria. All assessments are internally marked by qualified tutors and externally verified by the awarding body. Full assessment guidance is provided upon enrolment.
