To successfully achieve the Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practices (RQF), you must demonstrate your competence through practical application in a real work environment. This includes internally quality assuring the work of at least two assessors, each of whom must be assessing the work of at least two learners. You are required to plan, monitor, and evaluate assessment practices, observe assessment activities, and provide constructive feedback to assessors. You must be observed carrying out internal quality assurance by a qualified internal quality assurer or tutor to ensure your evidence meets the required standards. You are required to submit key pieces of evidence as part of the practical requirement, such as sampling plans, IQA reports, standardisation records, assessor feedback, and communication logs. All activities must be based on live assessments, as simulation is not permitted.
The Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practices is assessed through a combination of written assignments and practical evidence. All evidence submitted for the practical tasks must result from your performance as a Trainee IQA within your own work environment. To meet the practical assessment requirements, you must provide evidence of monitoring a minimum of two assessors, each working with at least two learners through components of a qualification. All evidence must be valid, authentic, reliable, and sufficient to meet the assessment criteria.

V1 was the old internal verifier qualification (now replaced by this Level 4 IQA Award). D32/D33 were the previous assessor awards (D32 for assessing, D33 for verifying), now updated to qualifications like the Level 3 CAVA. These older certificates are still valid, but this Level 4 IQA course is the current standard.
